The university of Limerick are hosting an event starting at 3.30 pm to 4:30pm to screen the race of UL graduate Thomas Barr, who is running the final of the 400m hurdle at the Rio Olympics. Barr set a personal best time and broke the Irish record in the heat on Tuesday and hopefully the effusive Waterford native and adopted Limerick man will win a medal in today’s race. He won his heat with a time of 48.20.
President Don Barry has invited the UL community at large to support Thomas at The UL Arena this afternoon.
