The inaugural Urban Food Festival organised by Bia Luimni or Limerick Food Group was a rip roaring success on June 16th 2016. Thousands of hungry foodies decended on the Milk Market to enjoy foods and tastes from all over the world.
Local heroes such a Treaty City Brewing, Rene Cusack, Harpers Coffee and many more were on hand to quench the thirst of foodaholics. Food vendors and restauraunts such as Cocbull, Mexican Food Dudes, The Strand Hotel, Bobby Byrnes Gastropub, Bella Italia, Da Vincenzo Food and Wine Hall and many more were all in attendance.
Tokens were 15 euro five and could be exchanged for plenty of tasty morsels. Long queues at some stands testified to the great tastes and demand for food. There were games for the kids and music from the Limerick Lady event with Ann Blake and others performing.
All in all it was a tasty night and lots of limerick people were licking their lips for more. Congratulations are in order for Olivia O’Sullivan and the organising committee.
