Following the launch high profile merger of Dell and storage tech giant, EMC in recent weeks Micheal Dell, owner of Dell Corporation said that EMC had a large operation in Ireland and that ‘we will all be one happy family there.” Dell is a frequent visitor to the Shannon Region and to his facility in Limerick where 1300 people are currently employed.

The Technology giant has its Internet of Things base in Europe in Limerick and has had a base in the Treaty City and in Cherrywood in Dublin but had had significant job losses in 2009 in Limerick.
